1 out of 5 stars Poor quality   September 29, 2009
Victor da la Tnalag
The one I received was not well made and poorly packaged. It was out of square and the screws attaching the burner to frame had fallen out in transit. Sent it back to Amazon and purchased a Hurricane burner from Williams Brewing - a much higher quality item (more money as well).

5 out of 5 stars Perfect Burner for Homebrew or any outdoor cooking.   July 18, 2009

If you homebrew and have used a regular fish/turkey fryer from Wal-Mart, BassPro, or Cabelas - Throw it away and buy this one immediately. The base will fit a 15.5 gallon keg perfectly, very clean burning and super sturdy. Also, heating 5-10 gallons takes no time compared to other burners with minimal to no adjustments required to maintain temp. I plan on purchasing another one as a backup or for big family gatherings. I would give it 4.8 out of 5 stars because the only negative that I could find was that the burner has some wobble, but since it's not a load bearing surface a small piece of wire hooked around the neck of the burner quickly fixed this problem. From now on, I will not buy any other burner setup unless it is made by Bayou Classic.

5 out of 5 stars Patio Stove   June 4, 2009

Best purchase I've made in a while. The flames are under control and does not make the pot black. This stove actually cooks faster than an electric range. Quite sturdy too. Does not tilt.

5 out of 5 stars I love this burner!   May 4, 2009

I purchased this burner for brewing beer. I have used it for a half dozen brews so far and it works great! I have a 10-gallon Megapot and it has no problem supporting the kettle with 7 gallons of wort. I was surprised at how little propane was used. It costs me about $2.00 in propane to brew a 5 gallon all grain batch.

You will not be disappointed in this burner.

5 out of 5 stars Great burner for homebrew!   May 1, 2009

I've used several other "turkey fryer" type burners for homebrewing beer. I use converted sankey kegs and I can tell you that they fit this burner better than any I have ever used. Also, being lower to the ground makes it very stable! I'll probably buy another soon.
One thing to note would be the horrible burn paint smell the first few times you use it. Kinda nasty but does go away. Also, keep an eye on Amazon's pricing, I've seen this burner jump around in price from $40-$66
