5 out of 5 stars 40s retro candy box a hit with my Dad   May 3, 2010
Anita L. Evans (Rowlett, TX USA)
For Easter, I bought my 76 year old dad a 40s candy box. He really loved it and appreciated the thoughtfullness of the gift. I was happy to find him something unique and fun to give him some good memories of his childhood. Thanks for making Easter special for my dad.

5 out of 5 stars but just one problem!!!!   July 18, 2009

Being English living in England and trying this item on a whim, while I am enjoying all the box has to offer I find I really really love the Necco wafer candies, wrong continent, wrong generation, will be walking the floor when all mine have gone and no doubt be ordering again for Christmas.

1 out of 5 stars Packing Slip had Shipping Price Listed-totally ruined gift!!!   March 23, 2009

I ordered a 60's for my Mom's Birthday and a 50's for her friend when it was the Amazon Deal of the Day. Listed on the packing slip was the amount I saved in Shipping $10.51 and $9.37 respectively. When I asked my Mom how she liked it she said, "it's not bad for $10..." OK, are you kidding me? I paid $30ea? I asked her why she said that and she stated that was the amount on the packing slip. I then emailed the company and asked them what they were puting in the boxes that would cause my Mom to think I was so cheap? I got a response from Nicole that totally denied it was in there and said if there would have been one it would have stated the actual price I paid. OK...so my Mom is lying? I had my Mom mail me the packing slip from VA to CA so I could respond to the email with a pdf of it. In a nutshell Nicole blames it on being the "Deal of the Day", says it never happens and gives me a whopping 20% off....Bottom Line...if I was taken care of properly I wouldn't post this.

2 out of 5 stars just okay   December 10, 2008

The selection was okay but some was stale. The box did not survive shipping very well and was torn in three places. Luckily it was only for my parents so I put it in a gift bag and peeled the sticker off the box. It was okay, but I prefer the Hometown Favorites one.
